Halloween is fast approaching. What does it make you think of?
Brightly decorated little monsters knocking at your door to get their share of your big bowl of sweets? Or is it more “Crikey! Christmas will be here soon!”?
For most of us it’s all about the children. Costumes, parties, ‘trick or treating’ and getting involved in a celebration that, in the UK, is every year getting bigger and more colourful.
Children love the scary ghosts, ghouls and witches part of Halloween. Their imaginations run riot with bats flying around and souls rising from the grave to visit the mortal souls on earth for just one night of the year. The anticipation of being lightly spooked, not wanting to show fear but searching for the border of that feeling.
